East Malvern    Tennis Club

Seniors

All members of East Malvern are eligible to join a number of competition teams. This is an excellent way to enjoy some high quality competitive tennis at an appropriate level. All competitions are on a home and away basis whereby half of the matches are played at East Malvern and the other half at another club. Teams are usually structured with 5 players with 4 players playing on the day allowing for rostered weeks off.

Competitions we compete in:

Pennant

Pennant has been Tennis Victoria’s premier winter competition for over a 100 years and runs between April and September. The home and away format is best of three sets and allows for singles one week and double the next, or doubles only. Both Ladies and Men’s pennant starts at 1pm sharp and finishes around 5pm on Saturday and Sunday.

East Malvern has been a strong supporter of this competition and enters a number of teams each year. Being the strongest competition in Melbourne, Pennant is for the more serious tennis players among us.
