EMTC is now open (with restrictions)

We are pleased to announce our Club is now open to our Members again. You should have received an email regarding this just after 3pm, and it can be viewed in Court Talk. Please take the time to read the “Return to Tennis Guidelines” to ensure you comply with the requirements for the Club to stay open. Welcome back..


Tennis is back, but EMTC is not open yet..

EMTC is extremely happy that tennis is allowed back, but we cannot open the doors yet. We must wait for Tennis Victoria to provide the restrictions and rules required for our re-opening. As soon as we are advised we will let everyone know when we will be re-opening.


EMTC still CLOSED until 19th October

As per the Premier’s Announcement on 27th September, Tennis Facilities must remain closed. To say we, and the whole tennis community, are devastated is an understatement. We hope to be back after 19th October.


EMTC possible Re-Open

We are hopeful Tennis will return next week sometime under ‘Step 2’ – but we MUST wait for confirmation from Tennis Victoria (including the latest requirements and rules). Please do not come to the Club until we advise you via email. Please see our latest Court Talk for all our up to date information.


EMTC Closed for Stage 4 Restrictions from 6pm Sunday 2nd August

Following the Premier’s Announcement today, Sunday 2nd August, EMTC has closed the Club for the next 6 weeks. We will continue to follow the directions as stipulated by DHHS. Stay Safe.


Update #6 Amended Rules & Mask rules

We also wish to confirm you should be wearing your Mask to and from the Club and only removing it while you are on the court playing tennis.

Update #3 to Metro Lockdown Rules

EMTC has sent an EDM to our members (just prior to 2pm Friday 9th July) with our latest ‘Rules of Play’. Please ensure you familiarize yourself with our latest requirements. The email can be found in Court Talk. (#5)


Update #2 to Metro Lockdown Rules

EMTC advises the Govt Directives were changed sometime before midday (Thurs 9th July) and we can now only have a maximum of 10 people at the Club at any one time. This means only 5 courts active with 2 people per court. We are currently working out the Court Allocation with our Coaching group and will have information to our members as soon as possible. Please be patient with us as we work through this ever changing landscape..

Latest lockdown -commencing midnight Wednesday 8th July

EMTC are currently waiting for Tennis Victoria and Stonnington Council to provide us with detailed information about the new restrictions.
At this point we know that all Competition tennis has been suspended for now.
2020 Winter Pennant Season has been cancelled.
We are assuming all Winter seasons will be cancelled.
Night Competition has been suspended until they see what happens after the 6 week lockdown.
