EMTC Closed for Stage 4 Restrictions from 6pm Sunday 2nd August

Following the Premier’s Announcement today, Sunday 2nd August, EMTC has closed the Club for the next 6 weeks. We will continue to follow the directions as stipulated by DHHS. Stay Safe.

We also wish to confirm you should be wearing your Mask to and from the Club and only removing it while you are on the court playing tennis.

Update #3 to Metro Lockdown Rules

Update #2 to Metro Lockdown Rules

EMTC advises the Govt Directives were changed sometime before midday (Thurs 9th July) and we can now only have a maximum of 10 people at the Club at any one time. This means only 5 courts active with 2 people per court. We are currently working out the Court Allocation with our Coaching group and will have information to our members as soon as possible. Please be patient with us as we work through this ever changing landscape..

Latest lockdown -commencing midnight Wednesday 8th July

EMTC are currently waiting for Tennis Victoria and Stonnington Council to provide us with detailed information about the new restrictions.
At this point we know that all Competition tennis has been suspended for now.
2020 Winter Pennant Season has been cancelled.
We are assuming all Winter seasons will be cancelled.
Night Competition has been suspended until they see what happens after the 6 week lockdown.

EMTC is now Open for members

EMTC Return to Tennis – Update 12 May 2020

EMTC Committee had a meeting tonight and we are hopeful we will be re-opening on Thursday 14th May. We will send an email to all our members with regards to this late tomorrow afternoon, advising of the requirements and conditions of our re-opening. Thank you all for your patience while we work through this, we know you are all keen to get back on court.


EMTC Closure update 11th May 2020

With regards to Premier Andrews’ announcement at 11am this morning: EMTC is now waiting for Sport & Recreation Victoria, Tennis Victoria and City of Stonnington to come back to us with guidelines on when, and in what capacity, we are allowed to re-open. We will advise all our members as soon as possible. Until this time we must remain closed to everyone.
